could be the catalytic converter or it might need a new transmission.
Is it making any noises? Are there any lights on?? Classic symptom of bad fuel filter, typically stalling at stops.

The dipstick is beside the Turbo, and intercooler... assuming its still on the top mount.
check the fuse...in the fuse box.
I have the coupe model, so it may be different, however, on my 95 Subaru Impreza, the OBD connector is under the dash, on the left side of the steering wheel. you'll see a little plastic pocket of sorts, and on the upper surface you should see a little door. the connector is located under that door.
You're Leaking Gas into your oil
There's a short in your main line going to your fuel heater.
The ECU isn't under the Dash. its under the passenger's feet. you must lift carpet to see protecting shield once removed you will see the ECU.i know because i own a 95 impreza and maintain it myself.
