It is violent but not that much. All the Zelda games include swords, and killing of things like monster plants, boulder people and many more. I say the age for this game would be like 9 or 10 years old. It's pretty fun if you like these types of things. some thing to add is
it a say fantasy violence and animated blood but i am having a hard time finding the blood but the violence is not that bad as they may make it sound and i agree with what the last person said some who is a little younger then a teen could play it
