First and foremost, it is not recommended to take a medication which has not been prescribed to you or in the improper dosages in an attempt to "get high".

Lexapro is used to treat anxiety and depression and usually has a drowsy effect on the user.

So your answer is no.

Although it will make you dizzy and usually sick to your stomach.

During the first six weeks of treatment with Lexapro (10mg/day), I hit a phase where I was very motivated to get things done. I also laughed a lot, sometimes at really silly things. It was actually pleasant for a while but then things leveled off. I felt normal then except that I was no longer having severe anxiety attacks, which is what I was taking the drug for, not so much for depression.

So, yes, I felt a little "high" during the first six weeks or so of treatment. It's been over two years since I started on Lexapro. About a year ago I experimented with taking half a dose per day because I was starting to feel "zoned out". It worked well for me and my doctor ok'd it when I told him since the anxiety attacks remained under control.

No. Celexa is a specific serotonin reuptake inhibitor antidepressant. It does not release dopamine (which is involved in the reward system - and which drugs like opiates, cocaine, and stimulants affect quite strongly, for instance).

Lexapro is an anti-depressant of the SSRI class. SSRIs have virtually no recreational value - snorting Lexapro would not get you high.
