Maybe in the manga, but not in the actual show. In the last episode of InuYasha, everyone is still alive, and in the last few episodes of InuYasha: The Final Act, InuYasha kills Naraku, and in doing so Kagome gets sent to the Underworld because Byakuya of the Dreams slashed her with Meido Zangetsuha, then she gets caught in darkness, and she ALMOST gives in to the darkness, but InuYasha saves her. After he saves her she destroys the Shikon Jewel, and by doing that her and InuYasha get sent to her own time, but the well brings InuYasha back to the Feudal Age while Kagome stays in her world, and closes. Miroku and Sango have a set of twins and one other child, and after three years have passed with Kagome gone and InuYasha in the Feudal Era Kagome manages to get back to the Feudal Era, so Souta ends up telling everyone who wants to ask his sister out that she got married right after graduating High-School, and his friends ask him why she did it so early. So Kagome is back in the Feudal Era, married to InuYasha and becoming a priestess, while InuYasha and Miroku become demon slayers, pretty much. Sango stays home and takes care of the children while InuYasha and Miroku are on their Demon Hunts (Miroku stops being a playboy since he's married to Sango-chan). Shippo joins a Demon Test and continues moving up in Rank, and InuYasha stays a half-demon. It is unknown what will happen past that point.

I doubt it. Although, at first, his aim in collecting the jewel shards was to use them to become a full demon, Inuyasha has since come to realize that, were he to do away with the human part of himself, he would become a monster, incapable of anything but killing. Of course, even if he is no longer actively trying to become a full demon, there is still the possibility that his demon blood might get the better of him, as it has already done on several occasions, and cause him to transform against his will. However, his sword, Tetsusaiga, has the power to prevent these transformations, so as long as he keeps it with him, he is safe.
