after Juliet's and mason's fight, mason scratches Juliet, and Juliet bites mason. it has said that if a werewolf scratches a vampire, then it will reveal a vampire's real age. and if a vampire bites a werewolf, it would turn into a werewolf forever. and alex and Justin ends up losing Juliet and mason. :)

No. But Mason will be back in a later episode called Alex Saves Mason, and in the complete Season 4 (from what I've seen).People have said that they killed off the vampire and werewolf because at that point, WOWP was the 'darkest' and most 'inappropriate' show on Disney Channel. In actual fact, they're wrong.Bridgit Mendler (Juliet) HAD to leave the cast of WOWP one way or another, because she now has a leading role in new Disney Channel show Good Luck Charlie. And Greg Sulkin (Mason) had to leave the cast temporarily to work on a 'new' Disney move, Avalon High, based on the book by Meg Cabot.It is true that Juliet could have been brought back to her old self (the Transfix Transpose spell, getting her parents to bite her, something!) but it wasn't really a matter of what would have been more logical.

in the episodes wizards vs werewolves Juliet, mason and Justin get into a huge fight. Justin and Juliet are trying to protect each other. in such desperate attemps to do so mason scratches juliets wings and Juliet bites mason. the venom from the bite makes mason turn into a real wolf forever. the scratch on juliets wings make them disappear causing her to loose her vampire powers. this makes her turn into her real age which is over 2000 years old. Justin wants to hang on but Juliet must tell him to let go.......no matter how much it hurts them both. they never stop thinking of one another and Justin is thinking of researching a way to reverse the curse so that he and Juliet can be together forever.......we will see what happens next in time.

She confesses that she is a wizard and they continue to date. Mason then reveals that the necklace only glows when someone is in love with the person who put it on the other person. When Justin and Max find out that Mason is a werewolf, Justin thinks that Mason can help track down Juliet. He tracks her scent to Transylvania, where the mummy has been holding Juliet prisoner and expecting Justin. Trapping them, the mummy reveals that he has been keeping Juliet frozen in a hieroglyph while she is not working for him, but they destroy the mummy by unraveling his bandages, causing him to crumble into dust. The Russos' happiness at saving Juliet is cut short when it is discovered that Juliet and Mason dated one another three centuries ago, and the situation worsens when Mason impulsively blurts out that he still loves her. The Russos and Juliet leave. Alex is heartbroken the next day, and Mason goes to the substation to talk to Alex, but she won't let him explain, and Harper decides to set up an "Alex-watch" to keep the two separate. Later, Mason meets Max, who manages to take him to Alex. Mason is able to persuade Alex to go back to Transylvania with him to search for the True Love Necklace, so that Mason can prove his feelings for her. Justin, Max, and Juliet follow them. At odds with Justin, Mason transforms into a full Werewolf and starts to attack Justin, which results in being attacked by Juliet herself. During the fight, Juliet bites Mason and is scratched by him in turn: as a result, Juliet becomes mortal and quickly ages into a white-haired old lady, and Mason transforms into an actual wolf. Before this happens, however, Alex successfully locates the necklace and puts it on Mason, which proves that he does indeed love her. Realizing that they can no longer be together, Juliet and Mason unwillingly break up with the Russos and depart, leaving both Alex and Justin completely heartbroken. Juliet van Heusen will indeed return to Wizards of Waverly Place in season 4. After Mason Grayback's return was made possible, rumors began to spread that Juliet would return. The first one claimed that in the episode "Alex Gives Up", an episode in which Alex gives up on the Wizard competition, that Juliet was promising herself that no matter what, Justin and her would be together again. This rumor was denied, as it also was rumored that Mason was promising himself that he and Alex would be together, even though they already are. Now it is confirmed that in an upcoming Wizards of Waverly Place event, Juliet will be rescued by Alex, Max, and Justin. Juliet and Justin get back together, however, here is the bad part. A few episodes later, Juliet's parents decide that Juliet must return to Transylvania for the rest of her days. Juliet reluctantly obeys her parents and says goodbye to Justin for, well, forever. Unless she returns after that, this will be it for her.
