Well, first off, Let me say this.
Scrubs did fantastic through it's first 8 seasons, unbelievably good reviews, however, in season 9, several of the main characters left. The ones who left include J.D., Elliot, Carla, The Janitor and more. In fact, the only staples left on the show in season nine were Bob Kelso, Dr. Cox, and Turk. However, in season nine the show's reviews started getting more and more negative, and eventually ABC cancelled it due to lack of viewers. This is understandable however, because I know everything about scrubs, but even I stopped watching when I saw the first few episodes of season nine. Completely Horrendous.
Scrubs moved from NBC to ABC because "My Name Is Earl" began airing on NBC and they didn't have room for both shows on that channel, and while "My Name Is Earl" became a hit show Scrubs just continued it steady flow of fans. So NBC decided to stop airing Scrubs and then ABC started airing it.
Yes
in just a few months it will either air on comedy central or ABC
No, there is not. I mean, I guess with this kind of thing anything's possible, but the possibility of this happening is so remote and insignificant it's safe to say it will never happen. Honestly, scrubs was meant to be over at the end of season 8. That's why the last episode of season 8 is entitled 'My Finale.' However, ABC wanted to keep milking the show, so season 9 was made. If even ABC stopped, it's... for all purposes... over.
No. The series was picked up for an eighth (January 2009) and ninth season (December 2009) by ABC after it was dropped by NBC. The series was announced as cancelled by ABC in May, 2010.
