Yes it will "fit" as there is no difference in the mounting locations (assuming you are replacing a V8) - however if the 95 is Port Injected you will need to use all of the 95 computer, fuel delivery, intake and exhaust parts - as the 87 was a throttle body injection. You will also want to verify that your Transmission will work as well.
The 83 engine will not work. You need a TBI / throttle body injection engine from 1987 to 1995. then everything will bolt right up and work just fine.

You have to remove the transmission to get to the clutch slave cylinder on that truck. You can pull the engine if you want and get to it. YOUR CHOICE.
