Yes. All D-Series motors will bolt up to any D-series transmission. The only difference between the two transmission is the final drive ratio. the b8 transmission will give better mileage but less acceleration.

Yes, that's what i did to my 92 CX. The D15b7 will fit perfectly and all the mounts line up perfect. If you have gotten used to the 70-ish HP B8, You WILL like the B7 for sure. Not to mention but its easy HP and really easy to install. My personal installation time: 4.5 hours. (first engine swap i have ever done too) Have fun!

it's possible, but the D16Y7 is an OBDII engine, D15b8 is OBDI, wiring would be difficult.

yes but the injector plugs are different. or you can use 95 intake on 96 engine Any D-Series engine is compatible. My CX Started life as a Factory D15B8. Now it's a B8 Block with 4 Valve relief pistons, a 2000 D16Y8 Head and a 1995 D16Z6 Intake with a 2000 EX Transmission.
