Depends on what is wrong with it, look around the dryer for the toll-free number of the manufacturer and describe the symptoms or malfunction to them (or check their website)-it could be a cheap and easy fix!
In my opinion buying a new dryer would be cheaper because there is a lesser chance that it would break down on you as opposed to investing to fix a dryer that you know may not be reliable.

I believe it depends on your health plan. Some health plans it is cheaper to purchase new dentures than to repair or vice versa. However if you do not have an health plan I would look into my budget and then adjust to which one is cheaper for me.
