Maybe. Chances are in between. It depends on if your cats are outdoor. If they are outdoor, and there is food or water laying around your yard and is not fenced in, then yes, if the fox will ever get the chance to, he will.
But▬It also depends on the size of the fox. Most foxes are about the size an average domestic house cat, but if your cat is abnormally large, the fox will most likely leave him/her alone.
A fox can eat and attack a cat unless the fox is big and the cat is small.
Cat can be strong also!
Above was the original answer to the question. It is a completely stupid answer.
I moved from the North East coast of the US to the South East urban/suburban/metro Denver in 2007 and in 3.5 years, I have lost 4 cats to foxes roaming in the neighborhood of Denver 80231. I have seen foxes near my property strolling up and down sidewalks with very little fear. I have spent many nights shewing foxes and coyotes away from my property as they hunt for and attack my cats within their own fenced in back yards.
In Denver metro, make no mistake. Keep your cats inside. Fear the foxes for your cats and small pets. Foxes and Coyotes do not hesitate to snatch your pet as a snack and if they don't eat them, they do not return them without injury. Keep a BB gun at hand to shew them from your property without killing them.
I share this with you in memory of my cats Joseph, Thomas I, Sammy and Jerry Bear... all taken from me by foxes (eye witnessed) in metro South East Denver.
Keep your cats inside.
Yes, if it is hungry enough.
no but it may attack it foxs and cats are closely related so they may fight and the fox will win if there is a fox nearby look into some antifox things
Yes, absolutely.
yes because they would be hungry
No. The fox would run away from the dog.
Absolutely yes , sorry to say.
some times they eat people but they also eat cat and fox
same as deers if the fox is really hungery he will eat it if not he would probably perfer a regular fox meal
The the cat would get the virus this happens all the time e.g. if a worm had a virus a mole might eat it but then a fox might eat the mole, eventually the fox will have the virus
Cat-fox was created in 2005.
Yes, but because cats are fairly nimble, they usually evade being prey to a fox.
Fox = canine, Cat=Feline.

Because even though the fox killled the cat, he would mourn his soul and thanks the cat for giving his lufe to the fox.

Foxes normally eat fish if they can easily catch them from a fish pond. Foxes and other predators will eat frog spawn.
