it is very uncommon that females fight, its mostly males that fight.
if your female guinea pigs are fighting, separate them as they will fight until the other backes down or gets seriusly injerd.
guinea pigs are herd animals which mean's they like the company.
resons why your female guinea pigs might fight:
1) there finding the domanant female
2) the one female guinea pig is pregnent or has babys
3) one of the guinea pigs may be tretaning the other
4) one guinea pig may have never seen or met another guinea pig, so it could be scared
5) the guine pig is hurt and wants nothing to do with other guinea pigs
6) if the guinea pig is meen to you it is likely it wont like other guinea pigs
7)if the guinea pig is new and scared it may neglect or fight the other guinea pig
8) bad experiances with guinea pigs or animals
9) if there are already a pair of females and you put a third in, they may gang up on the other and seriusly hurt or kill it.
hope i helped,
thank you
Typically no. In fact the opposite may occur. Usually the female at this point will not want the male anywhere near her and at times will attack the male.
Also When You Think That Your Guinea Pig is over halfway through pregnancy you should separate the male Guinea Pig from The Female Because The male Might Squish the babys good luck!
Yes, male and female guinea pigs can get along BUT they WILL breed CONSTANTLY! It is not recommended that you keep them together because they reproduce so quickly. WARNING: If you keep them in the same cage, it will only take about a year for you cute couple to turn into a family of 150 pigs!
Guinea pigs are like people. Some will fight but most don't. I have one female guinea pig that will fight with any male guinea pig and another female that will not fight. But unless you want a pregnant guinea pig I suggest you don't mix them.
Male guinea pigs don't normally kill the babies. They should be moved out before the female gives birth, though, as they can make the female pregnant again straight away, immediately after she gives birth.
male and females will live beside each other happily as long as they are neutured or wanting to be bred.
They may not get on so you would have to separate them before something bad happens.
Not unless it is the father, take out the father 2 weeks before birth as the mother can become pregnant 2 hours after birth, this is fatal to the baby's and mother, the father may kill the baby's if left in same cage after birth. thank you hope i helped
well in one go a female guinea pig can have 20 babies sbut the most i have seen n one go are 60
Some males have been known to hurt new babies. Try to keep the male away from the new babies.
NONo, if you feed it regularly.Male guinea pigs do tend to eat their baby's after birth , so before your female guinea pig has her baby's you should make sure to Remove The Male from the cage and keep the baby's with their mother . After about 2-3 weeks you can put the male baby's in with their dad for a little while but you must rub a little bit of the dads cages bedding on the baby's (gently) so that the dad does not eat them. Also they're still are males so if they fight you should separate them.Yes the male will eat the babies if you don't remove him (if I were you I would remove the male BEFORE the babies are born) Why does the male eat the babies? This may sound weird, but the male gets jealous of the female and will wanna fight, so to get revenge, he will eat her babies. So PLEASE DON'T keep the male in there!Thank -you!!!:)the dad guinea pig will not eat the baby guinea pigs because they are vegetarians and dont eat meat and a baby guinea pig is meat so they wont eat them unless there an evil guinea pig not from this planet lolx

Yes, it could be possible that the male could kill the babies
No. There must be a male and a female for the guinea pigs to have offspring.
