P1351 keeps coming out I have replace the crank sensor ,fuel pump,cam pickup,ignition module,ignition coil. It works about an hour when I shut the truck down for about 10 minutes it will not engage unless. I clear the code,what can it be?
some times they set by themselves after a few starts, but the best way to turn off is by a obd2 scanner. until the light is turned off the computer gets the info that the part is still bad by the signal. so it is best to turn off by scanner.
youll need either an obd2 scanner in later cars or obd1 on board on the cars computer. obd stands for on board diagnostics. this runs codes for things that computer senses are bad or going bad. take it to autoparts stores for the obd2. best to buy a manual or chiltons / haynes manual to help with repairs.
If your car has OBD2(96 and newer) they will hook up a code reader. If you do have a bad O2 sensor the scanner can tell which one is bad. Most v6 and v8 engine have 4 sensors.
