You have to change the tailpiece on the transmission to one from a 4x4 transmission
so the transfer case will bolt to it
There is probably more to it than that, depending on the transmission. Usually the output shaft of the transmission has to be changed, and that means disassembly of the entire transmission. Research the exact transmission and transfer case combination before you buy a 2 wheel drive transmission and HOPE it will fit.
No it will not. The center shaft that's in the 2-wheel drive transmission is shorter then the 4-wheel drive transmissions. Therefore the transfur case will not fit on the 2-wheel drive transmission.
The 2008 Honda Fit has front wheel drive.
The 2011 Honda Fit has front wheel drive.
The 2007 Honda Fit has front wheel drive.
The 2009 Honda Fit has front wheel drive.
The 2010 Honda Fit has front wheel drive.
The 2012 Honda Fit has front wheel drive.
The 2013 Honda Fit has front wheel drive.
The ONLY 2 years that will work is 96 and 97 4L60E transmission. If it is a 4-wheel drive then it must be a 4-wheel drive transmission. If it is a 2-wheel drive then it must be a 2-wheel drive transmission. 2 wheel and 4 wheel drive transmissions will not interchange.
The 2013 Honda FIT-EV has front wheel drive.
Yes it will fit but you will have to have a driveshaft made for it because the transfur case will not work on a 2-wheel drive transmission. 2-wheel and 4-wheel drive transmissions will NOT interchange
Will a transmission from a 1996gmc yukon fit in a 1993gmc truck both are four wheel drive
