Yes, an engine from a 1999 GMC Jimmy can work in a 1996 GMC Jimmy, but compatibility depends on the specific engine type and any modifications needed for wiring and sensors. Both models are part of the same generation, so they share many components, but it's essential to verify that the engine mounts, transmission compatibility, and electronics are aligned. Always consult a professional or reference specific repair manuals for detailed guidance on the swap.
you can as long as it is withing certain years 1996-1999 cavalier engine will work in a 96-99 sunfire and a 99-02 cav engine will fit a 99-02 sunfire
The 99 Buick Century 231 engine will fit into a 96 Chevy lumina with a little fabrication.
NO. The bellhousing is different on the 96 model. Won't work.
If they both carry the same engine then yes, it will work.
usually right side rear of engine
The "T" code 2.4 was in the '96-'01 grand AM, but only the '99-'02 cavilers had the same engine (the Z24 had the exact same engine). I believe that previous caviler had a 2.3 GM had many cars with that engine though: '96-'01 sunfire '97-'99 malibu '99-'01 alero '99-'02 caviler '96-'01 grand AM '96-'98 achieva these cars would all work. A lot more modifications would be needed to do your conversion. It's not impossible but it would not be a direct bolt up
96 to 00
If both are 3.3 yes they will swap.
99 grand marquis 4.6 engine compatalbiltiy between cars/years
