Well, yes and no.As soon as they finish spawning you should take the female out of the tank or he will kill her. After the babies hatch and become free swimmers out of the nest you should also take him out or he will eat them.Feed the babies micro worms.I know this is more than you asked but i thought it mite help.

A betta can, and probably will, be aggressive to other fish and, yes, they can be so aggressive that they kill the other fish. If you do not have other fish with long fins or tails and fish about the same size your betta fish is less likely to attack.

They most certainly can. In Asia these fish where originally bred to fight and people would wager on what fish would win. Bettas that are bred in America are more for show but are still very agressive.

The male Betta looks after the eggs and the fry when they are wrigglers but once the fry are free swimming. In the wild they would naturally move away from the males area and find areas of their own to live in once they were capable of doing so. This can not happen in an aquarium, so the fry must be removed as soon as they are free swimming otherwise the male will eat them.

Sort of...they may become depressed and choose not to eat. They will starve to death or open themselves up to attack from bacteria. They have a tendency to jump to their death in an attempt to bail out of small setups with open tops, but that's more accidental.

very rarely, but they sometimes do. Sometimes the females try to eat the eggs but not always.

If the babies are left with the dad with over 4 or 5 days he will eat them. but leave him for about 4 days then separate. Don't put them with the mom ever, either.

Well, if you love your Betta fish, then it should live by itself. But if you add another Betta to your current Betta fish's tank, then they will start a fight because Betta Fish are Siamese fighting fish and if one Betta is in contact of another Betta, the possible reason would be a fight between them two.
