Yes, muriatic acid can harm cast iron pipes by corroding and weakening them. It is best to avoid using muriatic acid and opt for alternative pipe cleaning or maintenance methods that are safe for cast iron.
No vinegar is an acid. That's why it reacts with the basic substance baking powder. But it is a mild acid. So it won't hurt you ;)
Acid, like any other toxin, is harmful in proportion to it's dosage -- concetration and quantity. However, HCL is most frequently used in a high concentration, and is extremely corrosive when it comes into contact with human skin. Even a gram would cause significant chemical burn damage. Be careful.
Your caustic remarks remain unappreciated.
Warheads are extremely sour due to the high levels of citric acid and malic acid they contain. When these acids come into contact with the taste receptors on your tongue and mouth, they can cause a burning or stinging sensation, which some people find painful.
Yes it is a serious threat to the environment, idiot! The word acid should give you a clue! Acid kills stuff and can cause very serious illnesses and if you touch regular acid you can get seriously hurt!
yes
If it's calcium then it will foam up if you put straight muriatic acid on it. this wont hurt the tile. however be careful as muriatic acid can be dangerous stuff.
Depends on the type of pipes as many acid systems do allow for acetone
NO You would need an awful lot of acid to do any harm there.
No, it will not affect them
You don't use Muriatic acid to clean pools. It is used according to manufacturer's directions to balance the pH of your water. Acid v Alkalinity. Too high a pH, add acid. To low, add a pH increaser. 7.0-7.2 is about right. Now, your pool maintenance people may suggest a muriatic wash for your pool if it is loaded with black (or other) algae. However, that should be done only by trained, experienced professionals as we are talking about ACID. This acid in the water, administered properly will not have adverse effects; this I know because I once let my large in-ground pool go bad for a Southern California winter, and it became a breeding ground for mosquitos. I dumped in several gallons of acid to kill them and it didn't hurt them a bit! I hired a pool man and he said that the killer substance is the chlorine! (I got the problem cleared up before the little swimming buggers hatched into flying buggers!) If you are talking about acid washing a pool it is best to hire a professional to do the job. If an acid wash is suggested to remove algae, call someone else until they tell you a chlorine wash is the best way to remove algae stains. Sometimes both are needed to remove algae and metal stains. Try to maintain a pH of 7.2-7.4. If you are going to acid wash your pool find someone who has done a couple hundred of them as I have replastered many pools because an idiot did an acid wash improperly.
yes
It will not hurt the pipes, but you really aren't supposed to put it down the drain. That goes into the water supply and someone is going to have to drink it downstream.
yes if it won't hurt what your cleaning. it will mildly irritate the skin but it won't injure you It depends on what you are using it on - to clean concrete or masonry residue. Wet the surface with water first, then apply and brush on. Muriatic acid should be diluted at least 5 to 1. The less dilution the more the vapor will create a breath taking green gas. So stay upwind and wear proper gloves and eye protection. If is is undiluted it will leave a residue that will need to be nuetralized. Copious amounts of water -flushing works, but there are commercially available cleaners at home depot, for example that will do a good job.
no it may hurt it because of the acid in it
Yes, it will burn you and harm you horrifically.
Yes, Ammonia liquid will hurt plants because 355o is acid and ds356346363636
