if you got high its in ur system I did not get high. I was sitting on the couch beside my someone while they were smoking marijuana. I did not get high. The next day, I failed a drug test at work for THC. I should of passed because I do not smoke.

∙ 13y agoIf you are around someone that smokes a lot and are constantly inhaling their smoke. Then there is a good chance it will come back positive for marijuana.
Edit: At-home drug screens and tests aren't quite as accurate as the ones at clinics. If you have been sitting in a hot-boxed environment (an environment where the density of smoke in the air irritates the eyes and makes them burn - whether you have been smoking it or not) it's more likely to show up in a drug screen. If it was only moderate to low levels of smoke in the air you should be fine. Most drug tests have intentionally high standards to avoid false positive results due to incidental ingestion of second-hand smoke. Avoiding smoke-filled cars, unventilated rooms, and other enclosed smoky spaces can help ensure that you will test negative for marijuana in your system.
