To be more accurate Shakugan no Shana S is an OAV series with 4 episodes and after that is finished Season 3 will begin.

OK as of now there is no season 3 and the info at the end of season two was not the maker's of the anime, it was added in by the people who subbed it and was a option, But there is plenty of content left from the novel and I'm sure they'll add some in, I think season three will be out around summer 2010 (iv heard that date in a few places there is no hard fact's behind it) Let's Hope for more horo!

Second Opinion: While the above is true and while I hope for a season 3 I believe that they possibly left the season 2 ending very open to make room for the two Visual novels that have been released by "ASCII Media Works" For the Nintendo DS (Wikipedia)

The first one was released on June 26, 2008 under the title Spice and Wolf: Holo's and My One Year (狼と香辛料 ボクとホロの一年, Ōkami to Kōshinryō Boku to Horo no Ichinen)

A second game was released on September 17, 2009 entitled Spice and Wolf: The Wind that Spans the Sea (狼と香辛料 海を渡る風, Ōkami to Kōshinryō Umi o Wataru Kaze).

Though I have yet to play either game, judging from the title of the second game and the ending of season two its quite possibly the continuation. Despite the release of these games I do hope for the next season.

Funimation owns the rights to Spice and Wolf video production and distribution in the United States. Kadokawa Pictures USA went out of business in 2008-2009, which explains the delayed video production of an additional season 3. There is a public relations manager that I am sure would love to hear from us.

Let's make it known we would like to see current production of additional seasons of our favorite series and 2 translated books per year is not acceptable. Be nice if you contact them, they will respond with enough voices.

Well I Wouldn't get your hopes up for a season 3 Since the bit at the end in episode 12 explained most of the plot threads but i would wait 1week just in case there's a 13th episode.

It is official that there will be a third Season of Kuroshitsuji (Black Butler). This season will be about Sebastian trying to turn Ciel back to a human. But unfortunatly, the release date is unknown. My guess is that it is coming out either late 2011 or somewhere in 2012.

i really hope so too. But, it seems that it is quite impossible to have a third season since most of the people are all dead. Unless you meant have a whole new hakuouki series with new character and the remaining shinsengumi (saito,shinpachi and I think that's all.... ). Lets all just cross our fingers and pray for the revival of everyone since there are "oni" in the anime there must be some magical power of revival... LOLLL
