Opinions on "The Host" vary, but it generally receives mixed reviews compared to "The Twilight Saga." Some readers enjoy its unique concept and exploration of themes, while others find it less engaging. If you enjoyed Meyer's writing style in the Twilight series, you may still appreciate "The Host" for its blend of Science Fiction and romance.

i have read all of Meyer's books and personally, i think that The Host is better than the series. You should definitely read it! -I AGREE WITH YOU!-

personally, i don't! the tilight saga id wayyyy better than the host or whatever, even though i havent even read it yet! but i absolutely love the twilight series! so screw the host, Love the twilight series. and p.s. EDWARD CULLEN IS AMAZINGLY GORGEOUS!! :]

-Seriously whoever wrote this is crazy. The host is a very good book, and you have written it off, you haven't read it yet. Yes, it is way different then twilight. Yes, we know Robert's hot. Get over it. I highly recommend the host. It's for people who like science fiction. Read it, you might actually like it. p.s. they are thinking about making a movie for the host. -raeban

*Personally, I thought the book started out a TAD bit slow, but it just progresses and gets better and better. It is a very good book. I love it. Im not saying which is best cause I think their pretty equal.

In a interview a few months ago, Stephanie Meyer spoke of her ideas for new books. She also spoke about the Host and a possible sequal. So from that interview, I would guess that she is definitely thinking about writing another book.
