Its rumored that Anderson signed for 2 more movies so Afterlife will be released September 10th 2010 and then he should start to work on the 5th one but after that I believe the series is getting a reboot and Anderson shouldn't be working on it anymore

∙ 14y agoThere will be a new Resident Evil movie. It's called Resident Evil Afterlife. From what I remember reading, Resident Evil Afterlife will be released sometime in September of this year. But, I can't judge what I know.

∙ 14y agoUnkown. Paul Anderson has said in interviews that 'Afterlife' will "start a new Resident Evil film trilogy". He also confirmed that Milla Jovovich would be returning to portray Alice. At 2009 Comic Con, Jovovich also confirmed her return in the lead role, and noted that the clones from Extinction would be returning. So i assume that she will be in the others after afterlife, but we will have to wait for confirmation.

Unless you mean the new CG film Resident Evil Damnation. It will be out in 2012. There is also rumours of a 5th Resident evil movie featuring Leon S Kennedy but this is yet to be conformed.

According to MJ, Anderson has a rough plot for 6th movie, but decision will depend on sales figure from latest movie.
Also Clair and Chris Redfeild are not in current movie, so there is a good chance that a 6th movie will be made to conclude on their story.

∙ 13y agoWell, at the San_Diego_Comic-Con_International, Anderson and Jeremy Bolt told ShockTilYouDrop.com that a fifth Resident Evil film would be possible, saying: "We always take it one movie at a time. We put so much effort into them and it is a family affair. It is all about making the best possible movie now and then promoting well and getting it out there. Making sure it is seen in the right way. When the dust settles then you think about something else. For us, it is not a business, it is a passion. You don't want to start talking about the next baby until you make sure this one is okay."
Jovovich told New_York_Magazinethat Anderson had started work on a sequel. She explained, "We've been talking to a lot of fans on Twitter and stuff, so it's probably going to be one of the first movies where we really talk to fans to see what they want, and what characters they want to see. It's going to be a more interactive process." So yeah, I bet.
