Will there be a Gremlins 3?

Dan Aykroyd announced that there will be a "Ghostbusters 3". Annie Potts and Sigourney Weaver have not said anything about whether they will do this movie or not. Bill Murray has confirmed that he actually will not do this movie. It is starting to look like the third film may never get made.

There will be no Grease 3 since the first and second ones were so successful.

The following statement above is wrong i think as, as far as i am aware there won't be any more grease films unfortunately as the second film (sequel) was really bad. If it had been good and made almost $400million like the first film there would have been others. However, it only made $15million, about the same as its budget, so is crap.

One reason for this is that the script wasn't finished at the start of filming.

I wish there would be a new grease film, its actually quite sad as they made a really good one first and then let themselves down with the second.

If the second has been good there would have 3rd and 4th films and a tv series in think.

No, as there isn't a Monsters, Inc. 2 yet. However, there is a new Monsters, Inc. movie currently in production, but it's a prequel titled Monsters University to be released in 2013. There needs to be a Monsters, Inc. 2, and then, a Monsters, Inc. 3, which is unlikely at this time.

There has been talk of another Gremlins movie or a reboot/remake since 2008. The star of the original Zach Galligan even tweeted in January 2018 about a third movie to spark interest. Naturally though, there is no reason to believe another movie or a reboot will ever be made.

Actually no because mostly the first movie was out for a couple years ago and it may not have a part 3 but they are still are selling toys of it but I still wish there was a part 3 and so on......

While Bill Murray has officially dropped out of the series- Dan Aykroyd is predicting to everyone it is still going to happen.

A remake is in the works, but it does not have a release date as of yet that I know of.
