There is a fair chance they will, seeing how they left the movie off at the end. So far the movie has touched on the first 3 books in a series of 15, and the studio has only covered a fraction of the characters from the original series. However, there is also a good chance that they won't do a sequel. Though the film was almost universally acclaimed for it's visuals, many critics disliked the movie for various reasons. Also the movie only reached around $140 million worldwide. Taking into consideration that it took $80 million to produce, that doesn't leave a whole lot of room for a profit. All in all i can't really say. Though i would like to see a sequel, my gut tells me the studio just won't do it, too many things went wrong with this one. Then again a lot also went right. We may never know...
