Bleach itself is a substance known to be harmful. It may kill ticks, but it can damage skin severely. So using a bleach product such as 'Clorox' may do more harm than good. So it is not recommended.

Ticks are picked up on the ground or grass outside. If they are in your clothing when you come into the house, they will be in your house. You may need to have some pest control done in your yard and house as well as washing your clothing and bedding. (are you sure the bugs are ticks and not fleas?)

Make sure you get color safe Clorox bleach (if not you'll loose the color) and soak the cloths for atleast 30 mins and then wash with cold or hot water ....
