I have a friend who went thru a nasty divorce and she regularly smoked marijuana (I suspect that she had been using meth also). She was ordered to take a hair folicle test. I remember that she had to color her hair(the same color it already was not to look suspicious) in order to break the hair folicles outer layer then she washed her hair repeatedly with dish detergent, like 20 times she said. She passed her test.

∙ 12y agoNo. Nothing is going to help you "pass" a radioimmunoassay test on hair samples, other than not doing drugs. The fact that you are trying to research how to pass a test would indicate- you DO have a problem with drugs. Drop the Tide, go get some help.

Hair dye, bleach, etc. only effects the outside of the shaft; not the core, nor the follicle itself (which it typcally can't reach anyway). If you meant, "will dying help you pass this test", being dead makes the hair follicle test irrelevent, at least from your point of view, although it's probably way too extreme a response to the prospect of a drug test.
