Will we know each other on the new earth?

Yes,people will inhabit the new earth.

Isaiah:65:7-25:

7: For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.

18: But be ye glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy.

19: And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people: and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying.

20: There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the sinner being an hundred years old shall be accursed.

21: And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them.

22: They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the days of a tree are the days of my people, and mine elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands.

23: They shall not labour in vain, nor bring forth for trouble; for they are the seed of the blessed of the LORD, and their offspring with them.

24: And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.

25: The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent's meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the LORD.

At this time it's a matter of speculation and conjecture. In the physical creation, God gives us examples of spiritual things.

The human family structure is used in scripture comparatively to describe God's future Family; Children, Sons, the Father, born again, etc.

"...we are the Children of God..." (Rom.8:16).

With that in mind... I have to admit that there are a lot of members of my family whom I don't know.

God's Family, when they come together on the New Earth, will be composed of saved, born again Children of God from every nation on earth. That's a lot of folks to know [untold billions of them]... having never been introduced before.

However... with the Living Waters of the Holy Spirit flowing freely through and among God's Children... there may be a certain amount of information and insight to the hearts and minds of His Children flowing with it.

We are told Jesus was able to read men's thoughts [Matt.12:25]... and that: "...He knew what was in man." [John 2:25] It's probably a fairly sure bet that He knew the names of everyone He met without them telling Him.

Of course, He is the One who made man... but I have to think that the Holy Spirit opened up a lot of human hearts and minds to Him, that informed Him of who and what He was dealing with at any given moment.

"...the Word of God is quick [alive], and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword... and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." (Heb.4:12)

Then, there was the account of the "transfiguration" vision... in which the disciples "knew who Moses and Isaiah" were, when they had never met them in their lives [nor had they any photos to I.D. them]. It was the vision that revealed it to them... the Holy Spirit.

In that regard... they probably didn't know ALL ABOUT Moses and Isaiah... just who they were.

Then again... I think most people enjoy a certain amount of anonymity and "privacy"... and hopefully, such potential insight, ESP, or mind-reading might be limited even on New Earth among God's Children. It remains to be seen.

It's kind of fun to think about, though. It's almost certain that at the very least, all of God's Children will know that they are all of the "God Family"... and on that level, will love one another and rejoice in one another's company.

They'll probably know each other's names as they, or if and when, they meet. And in that vein... meeting long lost relatives may well be part of the enjoyment throughout God's Family's eternal journey through the universe.

Well... that's one thought, anyway.
