It was actually placed around Lt. Dickinson's daughters neck. I believe her name was Elizabeth Angelina Dickinson. Her and her mother survived the battle with Santa Anna wanting to adopt her but her mother refused.

Elizabeth married at age 17 and eventually gave the ring to a Tennessee railroad guy named Jim Britton. It is unknown if they were ever married.

Elizabeth died in Galveston where she was a known courtesan.

The ring is now on display at the Alamo.
