When you sign a contract, your probably know how much you will receive each month. So with your mind set to receive a certain amount each month i guess you wouldn't expect your employer to give you an additional amount during a 5-week-month.
Think about this:
4-week-month
Monthly Salary / 4weeks = Weekly Salary
Weekly Salary x 4 = Monthly Salary
5-week-month
Monthly Salary / 5 weeks = Weekly Salary
Weekly Salary x 5 = Monthly Salary
REMEMBER: We are talking about the same amount of monthly salary.
