Dionysus, god of vine, wine and partying.
His strange birth: His mother, Semele, was one of Zeus' many lovers. She was tricked by Hera into begging him to reveal his true powers. Since a mortal could not look upon the most powerful of gods, she died, consumed by fire. But she was pregnant, and Zeus rescued the fetus from his mother's womb and put it in his thigh. Later on, he gave birth to Dionysus.
Ariadne: After having helped Theseus kill her half-brother, the Minotaur, and having fled her homecountry, Ariadne finds herself abandoned by Theseus, on the island Naxos. A beautiful young man appears and asks for her hand. He's Dionysus, who actually forced Theseus to leave Ariadne to him.
