1 cubic decimeter of pure water is 1 liter and weigh 1 kilogram. A mass of one kilogram is a weight of one kilogram at sea level. If you move your subject into space, it will weigh less. If you take it to Jupiter, it will weight more, but its mass will remain one kilogram.
The relationship is: weight = mass x gravity On Earth, since gravity is about 9.8 meter/second2, or the equivalent 9.8 newton/kilogram, that means that a mass of 1 kilogram has a weight of 9.8 newton. In other places, with more or less gravity, the same mass will also weigh more, or less.
Apples are natural fruit and come in various sizes, some my weigh more than 250 grams, some less than 250 grams and a few will indeed weigh 250 grams.
