I have the same thing wring with mine. The auto place told me that the egr valve will make the o2 sensor seem bad, so now im going to change the egr valve and hope the o2 senor is still good.
Assuming you mean the egr valve, I would make sure that you have the check engine codes cleared. In addition, are you sure that it was truly the egr valve, and not the DPFE sensor monitoring the valve?
There is a sensor valve located inside the reservoir its may be bad
Unless the EGR position sensor is shorting out the 5V reference, NO. If you suspect the sensor, simply unplug it & see if the starts.
check and make sure your firing order is right and that you have correct gap in spark plug
The cost of a valve and a DPFE (Differential Pressure Feedback EGR) sensor can vary depending on the make and model of the vehicle, as well as the retailer. Typically, a DPFE sensor can range from $30 to $100, while a valve, such as an EGR valve, may cost between $50 and $200. It's best to check with automotive parts suppliers or online retailers for the most accurate pricing for specific applications.
Dpfe sensor is the delta (differential) pressure feedback egr (exhaust gas recirculation) it monitors the pressure on the egr valve to make sure it is working.
A faulty crank sensor would make the engine not run.
o2 sensor bad rings or burnt valve or valve guide seals
no a egr valve would not make a dead battery. a bad alternator or maybe a bad connection post to battery would make it die ,
There is a vacuum leak or the IAC (Idle Air Control) valve is bad.Or it could be your EGR valve, Mass airflow sensor or the O2 sensors. Most likely the IAC though. I am going through the same problem.
The knock sensor just advances and retards the engine timing only. If there is a noise in the engine then you have engine are valve train problems. The knock sensor will not make the engine knock.
Check the EGR valve. also, make sure there are no vacuum leaks The engines mass airflow sensor(its located between the engine inlet and air filter)
