Yes
On the automatic transmission there are lines from the transmission to the transmission cooler that connect to the radiator
Generally no because the one for the automatic has a trans cooler built into it. I would have to disagree as long as everything is the same the radiator will work. And you do not have to plug up the transmission fittings on the radiator because it is just an in and an out. If you hook nothing to it, nothing will come out the other side.
blown head gasket....not good. Could b Transmission fluid because the transmission cooler is in the radiator-especially IF the water has a red tint 2 it,IF it has a automatic transmission.
If it is and automatic transmission....you probably have a damaged or loose hose going to the radiator.
Most likely it's automatic transmission fluid, check to two metal lines going into the bottom of the radiator to confirm this.
Automatic transmission fluid is often circulated through a small section of a car's radiator to keep it cool. Getting coolant mixed with your ATF would mean there is a problem with your radiator. Remove the radiator from the car and get it into a radiator shop for repair. Don't drive the car because you'll risk permanently damaging your transmission. A radiator repair should be fairly inexpensive, even if you have to have parts de-soldered from the core and replaced. Even a new replacement radiator is relatively inexpensive if you R&R it yourself. Have fun.
would an automatic transmission car jerk when shifting after having had a transmission flush
That would be a version of the A4LD automatic transmission
If there are lines coming from the transmission to the radiator, it has a cooler in the radiator. If there are lines from the transmission to an external heat exchanger, that would be an auxiliary cooler.
No. The entire driveline would need to be replaced. You could if you change the engine, trans, wiring , computer, radiator,.......
Many automatic transmissions use a cooler inside the vehicles radiator to help maintain the transmissions temperature. The transmission pumps ATF thru the cooler. If a leak occurs in the trans cooler the ATF is pumped into the radiators coolant. The engine coolant can also mix with the trans ATF and enter the transmission the same way in which case would be fatal for the transmission.
maybe its automatic transmission fluid
