unlike sprinters, marathon runners need long lasting energy that cannot be provided by anaerobic respiration as they run for such long distances that extremely large amounts of lactic acid would build up, causing pain, and there would not be enough ATP created to make up for energy used for running since only 2 net ATP is made every time anaerobic respiration occurs as opposed to the 36 ATP aerobic respiration produces. Also because marathon runners run for long periods of time, they go into oxygen debt that they cannot make up since they must continue to run.

Basically aerobic respiration occur.But when it is insufficient,anerobic respiration occurs. It accumulates lactic acids in muscles causing cramps

NO. Base runner's must run the bases in the order they batted. If a runner overtakes another runner, he is automatically out.

On a force out, you may either tag the base the runner is being forced to, or you may tag the runner before he gets to that base. If it is not a force out, you must tag the runner while he is off whatever base he has a legal right to occupy.

Lead runner has the right to the bag as long as they are not being forced ahead by occupants of other bases. If both runner attempt to occupy the base at the same time and fielder tags both runners while they occupy the base the runner from 2nd is out unless they are being forced ahead then the runner from 3rd is out.

Usually this happens when the runner is sliding in, or has just slid into the bag. It is a measure in case the runner comes off the bag while getting up, or simply a "why not, you never know" kind of deal where they tag just to be sure.
