This may be a side effect of the pill.. Or... You may have a yeast infection or a STD. A yeast infection can be identified with a bad smell. I would get this checked out immediately.

Yeast are normal inhabitants of the vagina, but they are kept in check by the bacterial population of the vagina. The antibiotics for the UTI killed these normal helpful bacteria also, so the yeast grew out of control. Use an anti-fungal like clotrimazole for the yeast. The heavy period was probably just one of those once-in-a-while ones that within the normal variation, nothing to worry about unless it keeps happening.
