A change in colour of discharge and an intense itch needs to be checked out by a doctor. It sounds to me like you have thrush. This is a bacterial infection which is caused by too much yeast.
The side affects are severe redness of the vulva (often caused by itching) change in discharge which can sometimes look a little like cottage cheese.
If you do have this, it can be treated easily. There are creams, pills and Pessary's. Your doctor will tell you which is best for you.
This is not a diagnosis though so please do get checked out by your doctor to make sure it is nothing else which needs treating.
