It would be better to quit under medical supervision, perhaps with replacement support for a short time. Cold turkey can be rough.
It may be months before you feel completely normal. There is a syndrome known as Post Acute Withdrawal that you will need to address.
I would also suggest some visits to Narcotics Anonymous or a similar group. It's much easier to quit and recover with support from folks who have been there. I know.
