Timing chains will normally last the life of the engine and are replaced during a complete engine rebuild. Therefore, no maintenance is required.
It has a timing chain , not belt,, therefore, no changes required.
No, it has a chain that should last the life of the engine.
No. It has enclosed timing chain. Does not require replacement.
Timing chain. If it had a belt you would see the replacement interval in your manual.
I believe all modern Toyota's have non-interference type engines, but the Echo does not have a timing belt, it has a chain, and there is NO predefined replacement interval for the chain (hope it lasts for 300,000+ miles). This is one of the nice features of the Echo/Yaris.
I am 99.9 percent sure it is a timing chain. To be absolutely certain you can get your Vin No. off the rego papers and phone Toyota. Give them the Vin No. and they will tell you there and then. BillChain Chain Chain , all Vits , Yaris , echo's use chains
chain
2006 corolla has a timing chain which does not have to ever be replaced.
On a 2000 yaris 1.0 GS - there is no fuel filter to change in the service schedule. The man at Toyota Parts reckoned the filter was just placed in fuel tank. That's why the Yaris is cheap to service :- no fuel filter and no timing belt (chain driven).
i took my car to dealer today to have the timing belt replaced and they informed me that it does not have a timing belt. My 2003, 6 cylinder Toyota 4 runner has a chain that does not require replacement
chain driven motor, no timing belt.
No, it has a chain. Replacement is rare and not part of scheduled maint.
