The belt is what powers the spinning brushes of the vacuum cleaner. It is usually found on one side of the vacuum and can be inspected near the brush roll. Make sure it is taut when pulled and does not have any sections showing signs of tearing.
6.Check the Filters
Filters differ greatly from one vacuum cleaner to another. Check the manual to see where the filters can be accessed on your model and how you can tell if they need to be changed.
Just a few simple steps can go a long way to keeping a vacuum cleaner running at peak performance. Vacuums should be checked every two months for each of the following items.
