Air travel is an incredibly efficient way to take a vacation, but scheduling a flight is only part of it. Travelers typically need to pack luggage, rent a car, and reserve a hotel room. But fortunately, there is an innovative way to reduce the work of taking a trip to it bare essentials. By taking a day trip, without an overnight stay, traveling hundreds of miles can be as simple as going across town.
First, find non-stop destinations with about 700 miles of your home. This is about the distance you can fly within an hour and a half. Preferably, pick a destination in your time zone, and one with frequent scheduled flights throughout the day. Schedule your flight to leave early in the morning, but not too early so that you will be short of sleep when you have to wake up. Likewise, schedule the return in the evening, but not too late as to arrive home long after you normally sleep. While you can schedule a rental car for the day, you might find it faster and more convenient to use taxis, shuttle services, or public transportation.
The day before your trip, be sure to check in for both the outbound and your return flights, so you have boarding passes for your entire journey before it starts. Finally, bring the bare minimum of clothing, but refrain from lugging a backpack or a computer. In this way you will speed through security and have the maximum time to spend at your destination.
By reducing your trip to single day, you can eliminate much of the expense and hassle that is commonly associated with travel, while taking an entire day just to enjoy a short but fun-filled vacation.
The trip will take you about 1 day and a bit by plane Otherwise by car and boat it would take about 3 months
