For example, a social work designee may help individuals who need assisted care and their families work through the admissions process that needs to be finished before a person can enter a residential care facility.

Depending on the standard of living, a social work designee can expect to make between $20,000 and $30,000 a year. Unlike the position of social worker, a social work designee is not required to have that much education. Often, an educational program that can be completed in one year that awards a social work designee certificate may be enough. However, the educational requirements for this position can vary by state.
