There are two types of Kangal breeds. Essentially the infamous Kangal that is widely known is Turkish. However there exists a different breed to Turkish Kangals, which look quite similar, but however are different in some ways. This breed of dog can be found at the heart of Kurdistan's mountains. (Experience from visiting both Kurdistan and Turkey many times and seeing different types of these dogs).
A Irish wolfhound is a taller dog being the tallest dog on average in the world. Being around 28-35 inches in between the shoulder, the withers, for males and probably weighing around 150 pounds. The Kangals are 30-32 inches and also weigh around 150. Both breeds can probably reach 200 pounds. P.S. The great danes are always the tallest dog in the world though their average isn't as high supposedly. And their are much bigger dogs the biggest on average is the English Mastiff. Though the Kengal is probably the toughest most athletic it's a strong dog.
The Kurdish Kangal is generally considered to be a stronger dog than a Pitbull. Kangals are large, powerful livestock guardian dogs bred for protecting livestock from predators, while Pitbulls were originally bred for bull-baiting and later for dog fighting. However, strength can vary between individual dogs and training plays a significant role in behavior.
I'd have to guess a Kangal. Since a hybrid is a cross between a wolf and a dog, it would depend primarily on which breed of dog the wolf was crossed with. Generally, I think most wolves are crossed with Alaskan Malamutes, Siberian Huskies or German Shepherd Dogs to retain the "wolf" appearance. Since all of these breeds are considerably smaller than a Kangal, as are most wolves, I think the Kangal would be bigger. Of course, if you crossed a wolf with a Kangal, or an Irish Wolfhound, then it's anybody's guess.
743 lbs, that's stronger than a lions (691 lbs)
A Kangal would win a fight against a Pitbull. they are the strongest and bravest dog breed . it has the strongest bite force The current record holder, however, is the Turkish kangal. It has been recorded as having a bite equal to 714 lbs! This is stronger than a wolf and a bulldog (or pitbull) put together, and is a result of its wide jaw and heavybuild. There is a report that a Kangal killed a lion , In turkey Kangals kill wolves every day , to protect the herd (sheeps,cows...) lions are surprised and scared of how brave the kangals are check out this video I found , linked below.
experts have proven that the kangal is the strongest and bravest dog breed . and btw kangals have the strongest bite force off all breeds The current record holder, however, is the Turkish kangal. It has been recorded as having a bite equal to 714 lbs! This is stronger than a wolf and a bulldog put together, and is a result of its wide jaw and heavybuild.
yes one that kills wolves is chest makes them one of the strongest dog breeds in the world and there large there chest is strong as steel
This question is very hard both are very strong, but kangals have a bite stronger than a rottweiler so the kangal would win! (well it depends on the rottweiler)
never make dogs fight, and im 100% not a dog fighter sport, but kangals are defenitally stronger and faster, but if you want smarter, and muc more loyal and easy to train, germans shepard all the way, theres a reason why the military use german shepard
I say it is the kangal because a jaguar weighs about 150 pounds and the kangals bite force is about 700 or 800 pounds if the dog bites the cat BAM cat dead but if they had the same powerfulness then it will be a tie
the biggest dog is absolutely the Englihs mastiff but the tallest is the Irish wolfhound, ppl asnwer irishwolfhound for the biggest dog, that's totally incorrect because the question was which is the biggest,so many ppl don't listen to the wording, rushing n saying stupid stuff, pit pulls rnt as strong as they r told as well, the bite force dephens on the HEAD SIZE and the how wide the dogs jaw but mostly the head size! they r not near as strong as they r said, poor dogs have such a bad reputition
The Kangal is generally considered stronger than the Boerboel in terms of bite force, which is one of the highest among dog breeds. Kangals are known for their agility and protective instincts, making them excellent livestock guardian dogs. However, Boerboels are powerful and muscular, bred for protection and guarding, particularly in family settings. Ultimately, strength can depend on individual dogs and their training, but in terms of raw bite force, the Kangal typically takes the lead.
