Animal Farm is George Orwell's 1945 book on the soviet revolution. The main storyline of the book follows animals that act out events from the communist revolution. The pigs are the leaders of the revolution sutch as Trotsky, Lenin, and Stalin. The farmer and his friends and hounds are the tsarist regime. The non-pig animals are the russian people. The book matches the major events of the USSR's history. the pig Napoleon is Stalin who wants nationalised communism and force, in the book communism is the idea of the farm run by animals. Whille Snowball the pig is Trotsky, who wants global communism and wants to export help to other farms and to have global revolutions. Like in real life the stalin pig brainwashes a generation of the youth, in the story he steals puppies and brainwashes them, and he orders the killing of the trotsky pig as to gain power. As the story goes on the animals are forced to work harder and harder and are given promises that never come true. The end shows the pigs becoming people as to match the farmer from the begining and how the communist revolution of Russia that formed the USSR never made a utopia it created worse lives for its people and just changed the leadership.

The characters in Animal Farm can be related to the Philippines Revolution characters in terms of their struggle against oppression, corrupt leadership, and the desire for equality and freedom. Animal Farm is based upon characters who played a big part in the Russian revolution, so pretty much people realized how stupidly they acted.
The green flag in Animal Farm represents the principles of Animalism, symbolizing the hopes and ideals of the animals on the farm. In contrast, the Russian flag (historically the red flag) symbolizes the Communist ideology in Russia, which the characters and events in Animal Farm were influenced by but not a direct representation of.
