Yes, one can live without a heart, but the function of the heart must be replaced by another item performing the same tasks, that is circulating a person's blood.
Science has developed "heart machines" that can do so for short terms, such as during and shortly after various operations.
However, without blood circulation, the body ceases to be able to survive.
You can not survive without your heart!. It pumps the blood throughout the entire body!. During a surgery like a heart transplant, they connect the body to a machine that "mimicks" the same function as the heart while the actual transplant is occuring!. If a person's heart stops from a heart attack or something, the longer it takes to revive the person, the higher chance there is for brain damage and eventually death to occur!. Let's say a person is revived after 45 minutes of CPR!.!.!.chances are there will be little to no brain activity left because of the damage that occured while the heart was not beating!. That's why it's so important to act fast when a person is having a heart attack!
Because the heart works to pump blood throughout our body. No blood, no life. Your heart stops working, our brain, which allows us to do everything we do, would die along with the rest of our body which is entirely dependent on the brain. The brain being quite dependent on how the heart beats, having it beat properly.
Maybe a little bit but it depends on the health of your other organs
This artery supplies blood to the brain so it is very necessary
Every ones heart is different it hard to say but if you get treatment on time and follow what doctors say you can live a little longer
You can't live without your heart or brain.
Neither. Both the heart and brain are vital organs, and both are neccessary to keep your body functioning. If either of them were removed in any way, and not instantly replaced back in, you would die within seconds.
Brain, heart, liver, pancreas, both lungs
yes...as long as their heart and brain are working, they can live. There are plenty of people that are living without arms and legs...
I think the heart and the brain: we are dead without either one of them, correct? I know people can remove half a brain or pieces of the brain but I don't think we can live without an entire brain... (correct me if I'm wrong!)
A shot to the brain, as you will instantly die, you cannot act or function without your brain, if you get shot in the heart you can still live for a short period of time.
The brain is the computer for the body. A person can not live without a brain because it regulates the heart and all the body functions. Hence, the term brain dead means the body is dead.
The brain controls your body. Without it the heart would stop, your lungs would stop taking in air, etc.
The organs you can't live without are the heart, lungs, brain, and liver. These organs are essential for the body to function properly and sustain life.
Heart and brain. You need your heart to live and brain :( be careful
Your heart supplies the blood to your brain, however even if your brain is "braindead", your heart can still stay beating. The brain relies on the heart but not as much vice versa. When a person dies from a gunshot wound to the head, the body dies and of course, the heart stops. Either way, no-one can live without one, the other or a substitution. They are both essential to survival.
What will the brain tell your heart to do?Your brain will tell your heart to beat thereby allowing you to breath and live.
