How do you get Groudon in Pokemon platinum?

To get groudon in in fire red, there are two ways, both involving trading.

Method one:

Items required: GBA link cable, a Ruby, Fire Red and Groudon in Ruby (obviously!!)

After getting the ruby and sapphire gem in Fire Red(That's a long story. See somewhere else.) Celio (friend of bill) will establish trading with hoenn region.

You have to trade a Groudon from Ruby to Fire Red.

Now I guess that you will agree with me that there is no use for Groudon after the game is over (Other than pokedex). So that leaves me with method two.

Method two:

Items required: GBA link cable, a Ruby, 2 Fire Reds and Groudon in Ruby(obviously!!)

Now the trick is one game should be complete.(ruby, sapphire, league finished,etc.) From Ruby, trade the Groudon to the finished game. From there,

trade it to the game in which you need it and voila! You have it. And here, it is way more useful.

First of all, you don't get Groudon on HeartGold; you get Kyogre on HeartGold and Groudon on SoulSilver. That aside, in order to obtain the titan your game offers, you must have done all of the following:

-Earned all eight badges from Johto

-Defeated the Elite Four

-Obtained the National Dex

-Earned all eight badges from Kanto

-Defeated Pokemon Trainer Red on Mt. Silver's peak

When all of this has been accomplished, go to Mr. Pokemon's house. He will give you the Blue Orb (to access Kyogre on HeartGold) or the Red Orb (to access Groudon on SoulSilver). Also, if you show Professor Oak in Pallet Town that you have caught one titan and traded the other to your game, he will give you the Jade Orb, which will enable you to fight Rayquaza. You find all of them at Level 50 in the Embedded Tower, a hidden cave on Route 47, west of Cianwood City. Just one last thing: when you go after them, you will need Pokemon that can use Rock Climb and Surf.
You dont only kygore since it comes out to those with golden heart groudon only comes to those with silver souls means you can only get groudon in soul silver. Unfourtanly you cant trade from emarld or ruby but from someone with soul silver can help you.

Sorry, but there is no way. You can get Kyogre at the Embedded Tower, but the only way to get Groudon is to migrate him from ruby, or trade him from soul silver. By the way, if you get both of them from the Embedded Tower, talk to Prof. Oak and he'll give you the Jade Orb. Take it to the Embedded Tower and you will be able to fight Raquaza. Hope this helps.
