The question of why God allows bad things to happen is a complex one that has been debated for centuries. Many believe that free will plays a role in this, as humans have the ability to make choices that can lead to negative consequences. As for the idea of God testing faith, some find comfort in the belief that challenges can strengthen one's faith and character, rather than interpreting it as God's desperation for recognition through suffering. Ultimately, individuals have differing beliefs and interpretations regarding the nature of God and suffering.
The lyrics are: EVENING PRAYER (WHEN AT NIGHT I GO TO SLEEP) From "Hänsel & Gretel" (Engelbert Humperdinck) Recorded by : Charlotte Church; Richard Kapp; Mary Van Arsdel. When at night I go to sleep Fourteen angels watch do keep Two my head are guarding Two my feet are guiding Two are on my right hand Two are on my left hand Two who warmly cover Two who o'er me hover Two to whom 'tis given To guide my steps to heaven Sleeping softly, then it seems Heaven enters in my dreams; Angels hover round me, Whisp'ring they have found me; Two are sweetly singing, Two are garlands bringing, Strewing me with roses As my soul reposes. God will not forsake me When dawn at last will wake me.
I recently entered the Publishers Clearing House sweepstakes. This is a company of long standing. I have seen excited winners shown on tv for years, being awarded with roses and a big check. When I entered, I assumed I was dealing with a reputable firm. This was my mistake. Assumption is not wise. I wrote entries for hours each day. I was busy for weeks. I enjoy writing, so I wrote essays in the 43things portion of the sweepstakes. A few weeks ago, I found an announcement on my 43things page, stating I won $10 million dollars. I was very excited, naturally. The sweepstakes was supposed to end on February 28th. The prize patrol would deliver the winnings. My family and friends, who followed this sweepstakes waited at my house with me. I was given a line to say when the prize patrol came. I received a daily email reminder of it. When I got my prize I was supposed to say, "Thank God and members of the PCH sweepstakes team!" These were words I wrote to them when I read I was a winner. I was more than willing to support them in what I thought were humanitarian efforts to help others. The prize patrol didn't come. I wrote a letter to them this morning and asked when I would get my award. I got a blunt, short answer. The awards would be distributed from now until February 28, 2012. I had not won anything. My chances, I was informed, were very small. I was stunned. I had made a mistake. I didn't read the fine print in the rules. It is stated, if you look hard, the sweepstakes ending date is 2012. I wrote back stating my disappointment this morning. I know I am not the only "winner" who is empty handed this morning. The sweepstakes is about making money from sponsors of the Publisher's Clearing House. This is reasonable. However, it is morally correct to mislead the public for profits?

The 18 roses signifies 18 special different men in your life like friends, relatives, including your annoying broher (if you have one), boyfriend or father. Each one will hand you a rose and dance with you one by one. The 18 candles signifies 18 different women in your life like friends, relatives and sisters even your mother. When one candle lights up she will give a speech and after all 18 candles are lit the debutant will blow them out. This is a Filipino tradition by the way Also your father is your last dance and your boyfriend comes before him.
There is no uniform script for emceeing a debut party. Usually, you just announce and elaborate on the parts of the debut, specifically the prayer followed by the 18s, which can be broken down into Roses, Treasures and Candles. You entertain the guests by providing some information on the debutant so naturally, you have to talk to the celebrant if she would prefer to do so. :)
Most debut parties follow along these lines: MC's intro, instrumental music as prelude, processional, 18 candles, roses and/or gifts, family time, escort introduction, entrance of debutante, prayer song, debutante's serenade, speech and party games.
18 roses represent the top 18 men/guys most important in the debutante's life.
