if you mixed "prussian blue" or Phalo Blue" with a little van dyke brown, you'll get a real nice stormy blueish gray color, great for painting a "Big mean ole storm" and it;s a real pretty color for mountains too.

Depending on the mixes that are used: Mixing purple and brown paint will result in a color that is darker than eitherconstituent color, and will vary over a range of : darker plum to darker brown.

There are many hues of purple, as is the case with brown, since both are mixes. The mixing of two already-mixed colors, makes predicting the exact result impossible.

Purple is a secondary color made by mixing the primary colors red & blue.

Brown is achieved by mixing all three of the primary colors (red, blue & yellow)

You can't mix colors to make blue; just like yellow and red, it's a base color. Base colors can't be made.
