Half Double Crochet Together .. also seen as hdc2tog

In American Terms, work as follows:

  • yarn over (pick up yarn with hook)
  • insert hook into next stitch
  • yarn over
  • pull through (pull up a loop)

you will have 3 loops on your hook

  • Yarn over
  • insert hook into next stitch
  • yarn over
  • pull through

you will have 5 loops on your hook

  • yarn over
  • pull through all 5 loops on hook

"Tog" stands for "together". Written instructions like "K2tog" would mean "knit 2 together".
