No observational evidence for wormholes has ever been found. On the other hand, nothing in our present understanding of our Universe forbids their existence In science the general rule is, "Until we develop a law that forbids something from existing, then we can't say it DOESN'T exist." Our Universe is a pretty big place, after all, and it COULD be that we haven't found them because (1) we don't know HOW to look for them or (2) we lack tools sophisticated enough to detect them or (3) they are so rare and/or so short lived that we haven't stumbled on them yet.
