Who was the perfect knight?

The most famous knight would definitely be King Arthur. While Launcelot is the most famous knight in King Arthur's service, everyone knows who King Arthur is. No matter where you go and mention knights, immediately "Excalibur" enters their head. Don Quixote would probably be equally famous in the Hispanic communities.

There were several who were documented and some that may or may not have existed. First of all one must honor Saint Joan of Arc and Queen Isabella of Spain, Isabella wore armor in the field, was certainly horse-conscious, ( Palominos are called Ysabellas in her honor in modern Spain) and so on. There is the character Bradamante who was a Girl Knight of the era of Charlemagne. She died in the Field in 778 AD. I do not know if her body was recovered and properly given a burial due a lady Knight who died in the Field- with her boots on. Bradamante was indirectly responsible for the military prowess of Charlemagne, King Of France, crowned l2.25.800 ( 800 AD). I wish I had more information. there are three Ladies at arms.

Fastrada, who was a wife of Charlemagne, had fought against him in battle. They maried in 784. Bradamante was a famous female French knight in medieval literature, but I think she may have been fictional.
