How long cant you smoke with a tongue piercing?

You should wait at least 2 weeks and then rinse out with a cleaning solution like H2Ocean or a non-alcoholic mouthwash. How long will it be until you can actually smoke without having to wash your mouth out afterwards? That's debateable. I would personally wait at least 4 months before you would have to stop washing out with the mouthwash...but I would still drink some water during and after smoking because you dont want anything building up on your tongue ring that could irritate it.

You need to cut back on the smoking while the piercing is new, everthing can be irritating to the piercing and you will need to rinse after everthing other than water for the first few days, stay on you cold stuff ( ice chips, popsicles, freezes ) Just rinse after you have a smoke.

You can smoke right up until they pierce your tongue. Then you must wait about 48 to 72 hours to smoke again. This is because of the contaminants in the smoke that could irritate the tissues of the tongue. After about 48 hours you have a thin layer of new flesh forming around the barbell and you should be able to smoke again. Speak with your piercer and find out what they recommend.

When I got mine pierced, the piercer told me I can drink clear alcohols (think vodka) but to avoid colored alcohol like beer and such. I think its because the ingredients in the colored alcohol, like the yeast in beer, can cause infection. I had to wait a month before I could drink beer and whatnot.

Yes, you can smoke after piercing your tongue! Just not directly after. Wait for your tongue to heal first, because you can get an infection from the ingredients in cigarettes. After your tongue heals SMOKE AWAY!

It's best if you don't. But if you have to, always rinse your mouth out with a half-water half-mouthwash solution for the first couple of weeks. Then you use full power mouthwash.
