Why do animals depend on photosynthesis?

Plants produce oxygen for use to breathe, and in return the plants take in our carbon dioxide. The CO2 (carbon dioxide) joins with water and solar energy to produce glucose for the plants to live. So humans and plants need each other to live.

well, first off, plants go through the process of photosynthesis. Humans eat plants. Or, humans eat animals (meat) which have either eaten plants themselves or eaten things that have eaten plants. Without food, we cannot get the necessacary amount of calories needed to survive. So, we depend on photosynthesis so that the things we eat will have somting to eat so that they stay alive.
